F-102A Delta Dagger in Action

Conceived as a complete “weapons system” and evolved from World War II German research, the U.S. Air Force’s F-102A was the first pure delta-winged fighter to enter service and formed the backbone of the U.S. air defense against possible nuclear attack at the height of the “cold war.”
