Our Virginia

To see Virginia is to visit our nation's beginnings, the very place where, in 1607, English colonists established Jamestown, the first permanent European settlement in the New World. And to explore further is to rediscover much of the nation's history, viewed through the prism of presidents' birthplaces, Revolutionary War and Civil War battlefields, the cradle of the Confederacy, historic plantation homes, and more.
