Rex Peteet is founding partner/principal designer of Sibley/Peteet Design Austin, in Austin, Texas. The firm specializes in corporate communications and comprehensive design strategies for clients such as the Sid Richardson Museum, Tivoli/IBM, GSD&M, Temple-Inland, Haggar Apparel, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Farah/Savane, Milton Bradley (including Scattergories and Guesstures), Dave & Buster’s, Brinker International (including Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Chili’s), Mr. Gatti’s Pizza and Fuddruckers.
Peteet has won numerous regional and national design awards including the New York Art Directors Show, the Los Angeles Art Directors Show, AR100 and has had several works selected for the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. He has been widely published and featured in many industry magazines and annuals including Communication Arts, Print, AIGA, Graphis, Step and HOW. In 2005, Peteet was the recipient of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications’ highest honor and lifetime achievement award, The Golden Egg. Peteet is also a founding Director of the first Texas chapter of AIGA and currently sits on the Advisory Board of AIGA Austin.
