She runs her own adult film production company, Smart Ass Productions, and has directed over a dozen different adult films. She is currently an exclusive director for Vivid Entertainment. For Vivid, she directs a reality series called Chemistry and helms its sex education imprint, Vivid-Ed, for which she has written, produced and directed several titles. Tristan has been featured in over 200 publications and has appeared on CNN, HBO's Real Sex, The Howard Stern Show, Loveline, Ricki Lake, MTV, Fox News, The Discovery Channel, and on over six dozen different radio shows. She lectures on sexuality, gender, feminism, and pornography at top colleges and universities including Brown, Cornell, Columbia, Sarah Lawrence, and Yale..
